Situated in the south of the Lake District National Park Coniston bears its very own lake. Coniston Water is currently the third largest lake in the Lake District being 5 miles long and half a mile wide.

Both boat tours and boat rentals are available from various stations around the basin and all visitors are enabled to enjoy gentle walks around the lake on the purpose built footpaths.
